Today I am starting what, I hope, is a weekly post about books I want to read. I invite you to discuss what you are currently reading or plan to read. I will post four books that I want to read, with a link to their synopsis on Goodreads, for your use.
The City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments #4)
The City of Fallen Angels! Presumably a great book, considering all the other before it that were excellent! I totally love Cassandra Clare! It’s mainly paranormal action/romance. I love it!
The Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake (Anna Dressed in Blood #2)
I reviewed Anna Dressed in Blood earlier. I loved it, so I feel compelled to read the second book in the series! Feel free to read my review! This book comes out in August 2012.
Spellbound by Rachel Hawkins (Hex Hall #3)
Spellbound is the third book in the Hex Hall series. The review to book 2 will be soon posted. I loved both the first and second books and I hope I will love the third! This author is turning out to be pretty good!
Prism by J. Leigh Bralick (Down a Lost Road #3)
Oh my gosh!!! I can’t wait to get my hands on this!!! The first two were awesome!!! This is the last book in the series, (as far as we know!) and I am highly anticipating it! The author is very good, but little known. I encourage you to support her and other indie authors! We all know they have the better, non-cliche stories! 😉

I notice that these are all slam-dunks. If you enjoy book one in a series, it makes sense that you’ll at least sample book two. I’ve got a number of series like that where I even own the next book but haven’t gotten to reading it. (The Game of Thrones probably being the biggest, but also Wheel of Time…)
I’m also looking forward to starting The Game of Thrones…it sounds interesting. I’ve never heard of Wheel of Time, but I’m sure it’s good too.
If you do Wheel of Time, be forewarned: It’s massive. It’s good, but it’s massive.
